職業治療學(榮譽)理學士

本課程旨在使學生掌握專業倫理與標準，具備為所有年齡層及在不同場景中提供專業、安全的職業治療服務的能力。學生將學習應用基礎知識，批判性理解人-環境-職業之關係，並將研究融入實踐。我們培養批判性思維、雙語溝通及團隊協作技能，以促進有效的跨專業合作。課程同時注重培養對文化多樣性及社區價值的認識，確保學生符合在香港註冊成為職業治療師的資格，並能積極倡導社區健康。

1. To equip students with the ability to integrate theory and practice in occupational therapy. 
2. To practise occupational therapy in different health care and educational settings. 
3. To enable students’ eligibility to apply for registration as Registered Occupational Therapists with the Occupational Therapists Board, the Supplementary Medical Professions Council of Hong Kong. 
4. To advocate health and wellness for all people in the community 
5. To enhance students’ interpersonal skills, including teamwork and communication skills. 
6. To foster students’ awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity. 
7. To develop students’ critical and creative thinking as well as analytical and problem solving skills.

HKDSE applicants should submit applications through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS). There are NO self-financing places for this programme.

申請一年級入學，申請人應符合以下條件之一:

1. 2024/25學年及以後香港中學文憑考試考生）須在香港中學文憑考試中取得中文及英文科目3級、數學2級，並在公民及社會發展科以及一科選修/應用學習科目2級（“332A+2”）取得“A”級成績; 或
2. 2024/2025年度之前的香港中學文憑考試考生）須在香港中學文憑考試中取得中國語文及英國語文三級、數學及通識教育二級，以及一門選修/應用學習科目二級（“3322+2”); 或
3. 香港高級會考（HKALE）英語運用及AS科目、中國語言及文化及一科AL科目/兩科AS科目及格，香港中學會考（HKCEE）中國語言及英語語言科目及格，另加三科其他科目及格; 或
4. 國際文憑(IB)課程：完成國際文憑(IB)課程文憑，總分最少 24 分，並符合以下英語要求:
   • 英語 A: 語言與文學(高級或標準程度)達 4 級;或
   • 英語 A: 文學(高級或標準程度)達 4 級;或

• Tung Wah College will adjust the tuition fee of its programmes based on the Composite Consumer Price Index to be announced by the Government annually. 
• Tuition fees are normally charged by two instalments per annum and are payable before the commencement of each semester. New students are required to settle the balance of the tuition fee for the first semester (i.e. after deducting deposit) upon programme registration in August. 
• Students are required to pay additional fees for all retake/additional courses which would be charged at the rate of the normal cohort and be calculated by the number of credits to be taken. Please refer the details in the College’s Fees Regulation at https://www.twc.edu.hk/en/Administration_Units/fo/our_service/student-area. 
• The tuition fee for the programme under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) is the net fee paid by a student after deduction of subsidy from the Government. In 2026/27 academic year, the annual subsidy under the SSSDP is $81,450 for laboratory-based undergraduate programmes. The annual subsidy amount may vary in each academic year subject to the decision by the Education Bureau. 
• All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable. 
• Following the Government's announcement on 31 July 2025 regarding the revised eligibility criteria for government-subsidised post-secondary student places and subsidies, the new arrangements will take effect from the 2027/28 academic year (with the application cycle commencing in October 2026). Students will be required to pay the non-subsidised tuition fees if they do not meet the updated eligibility criteria for government subsidies.

* Students may apply for the Training Sponsorship Scheme offered by the Social Welfare Department in their final year of study.

• The programme has received accreditation from the Occupational Therapists Board of the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) (previously known as Supplementary Medical Professions Council (SMPC)) in June 2017.
• Graduates are eligible to apply for registration as Occupational Therapists “職業治療師” (Part II) for practice in Hong Kong.
• The programme is also approved by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). Graduates are recognized as meeting the international standard for education of Occupational Therapists.

• The Social Welfare Department offered a Training Sponsorship Scheme to the final year OT students.
• BSc(OT) students in their final year of study may apply for the Training Sponsorship Scheme.
• The objective of the Scheme is to encourage graduates of the TWC BSc(OT) Programme to join the welfare sector, so as to alleviate the shortage of OT in the welfare sector.
• A tuition fee of no more than HKD300,000 will be covered by the scheme, with the condition that the sponsorship holder shall undertake to work for the NGO in Hong Kong for not less than two consecutive years after successful Registration as OT for practice in Hong Kong.

• Graduates can provide occupational therapy services to clients with diverse conditions in hospitals, social service settings, schools, private clinics, nursing homes, and in the community.
• The well-balanced curriculum of the programme enhances the opportunity of the graduates for further study in local and overseas postgraduate programmes in occupational therapy, rehabilitation sciences, health and medical sciences, social sciences, and healthcare management.

我們的三年級學生參加了由美國南加州大學舉辦的精彩 28 天「暑期職業治療沉浸課程」。與來自不同背景的學生交流，並拓展視野。

世界職業治療師聯盟主席到訪本校，參觀先進實驗室，並與師生進行深入交流，分享職業治療教育及全球實務的最新趨勢與見解。此次訪問促進國際合作，強化專業連結，為師生提供寶貴的學習與互動機會，推動學術與臨床發展。

在2025年世界職業治療日，東華學院的職業治療教學人員、學生以及畢業生積極參與活動。他們主辦了多個互動攤位，聚焦日常生活技能的示範與體驗，透過生動的互動方式推廣職業治療的重要性，同時向廣大公眾傳遞實用的健康資訊，提升大眾對身心健康的認知與關注。

該課程已獲得世界職業治療師聯合會 (WFOT)的認可。畢業生將獲得國際認可的資格證書。該課程於 2017年6月成功獲得職業治療師委員會 (OTB) 的認證，該認證已獲得輔助醫療業管理局 (SMPC) 的批准。

職業治療師和物理治療師都是醫療團隊的成員。雖然職業治療師經常與物理治療師合作，而且兩者之間確實有很多相似之處，但他們在幫助客戶/患者應對殘疾的具體方法上有所不同。

物理治療師使用體能訓練和各種療法來治療身體運動功能障礙，而職業治療師則運用和調整各種活動來治療或預防生理、心理或環境因素引起的職業功能障礙。職業治療師也具備與患有精神疾病或情緒問題（例如憂鬱症和/或壓力）的人合作的知識和培訓。

描述物理治療和職業治療之間區別的另一種方式是，物理治療師治療患者實際存在的損傷，而職業治療師則治療這種損傷在行動中的表現。物理治療師透過增加活動能力、矯正骨骼和關節或減輕疼痛來改善功能障礙本身。職能治療師則幫助患者克服功能障礙完成必要的日常活動。這可能需要運用輔助工具和技巧。

學生畢業前必須圓滿完成至少1000小時的實習。實習分為四個階段，貫穿四年的學習，包括暑假。學生將在醫院和社區機構進行實習。實習時長為2週至10週不等。

目前，醫院、社區或非營利組織（包括養老院、學校、療養院和復健機構等）對職業治療師的需求量很大。

除了良好的學業成績，我們也希望學生擁有關懷他人的態度、樂於溝通和與他人互動的意願、求知慾和創造力，以及良好的時間管理能力。

除了確保畢業生達到職業治療師的最低執業能力標準外，我們還專注於培養畢業生在各種社區機構和學校中執業所需的知識和技能。

除了課堂講授外，我們還採用小組教學的方式教授職業治療核心課程，並利用專業實驗室和真實的臨床環境進行教學。教職員與學生之間的密切互動也有助於促進和監督學生在這個高要求課程中的學習進度。
