課程簡介
課程重點培養學生的護理知識、臨床技巧及關懷理念。課程結合理論課堂、模擬訓練與多元化臨床實習，讓學生具備在前線提供安全、專業護理的能力，並符合申請成為香港普通科登記護士的資格。畢業生在完成課程並取得令人滿意的成績後受聘為登記護士（普通科），需為社福界提供連續不少於三年的服務。畢業生亦可銜接相關學士學位課程，拓展多元及長遠的護理事業發展。
課程目標
- To develop students’ competence in health promotion, maintenance and restoration, and prevention of illness through the delivery of primary, secondary and tertiary health care in hospital and community settings;
- To equip students with effective communication skills for providing individualized care and for fostering teamwork;
- To develop student’s understanding of psychosocial, cultural and environmental dimensions of health and illness;
- To equip students with critical, creative and analytical problem-solving skills; and
- To foster the development of students' general qualities for all-roundness, such as the capacity for lifelong learning, independent and reflective learning, and professionalism-related values.

一年級入學
申請人必須：
- 培訓課程開始時年滿18歲或以上；
- 持有香港永久居民身分及居留權；
且
- （2024/25學年及以後參加香港中學文憑考試的考生）在香港中學文憑考試中，中文、英文及數學科目取得二級或以上成績，且公民及社會發展科目及A類及B類選修科目一門取得二級「A」級成績（「222A2」）；或或B類選修科目一門取得二級「A」級成績（「222A2」）；或
- （2024/25學年前曾參加香港中學文憑考試的考生）在香港中學文憑考試中，中文、英文、數學及A類及B類選修科目中任兩門取得二級或以上成績（「22222」）；或
- 持有香港中學會考試(HKCEE)成績的申請人須已完成香港中學五年級(Form 5)教育。或
- 已畢業於應用教育文憑或義進文憑，並成功完成數學密集選修課程；或
- 已取得同等學歷*
# 優先考慮曾成功完成「照顧服務青年航路計劃」（2015年推出）或社署「先聘後訓」試驗計劃（2013至2016年推行）範疇內的兩年制文憑課程並取得文憑的申請者，或現正於提供長者、康復、家庭及兒童照顧、青少年服務的非政府機構或私營機構全職工作，並期望在完成課程後繼續以登記護士身份繼續服務社會福利界的申請者。
*該學歷必須符合香港護士管理局(NCHK)規定的註冊護士培訓最低入學要求。
The applicant selected for admission to the HD(N) Programme is required to sign an undertaking.
Each trainee will obtain full reimbursement of the tuition fees for the first normative 2-year study period of the Programme under the conditions below:
- To complete that Training Programme to the satisfaction of the Social Welfare Department and Tung Wah College;
- To be employed as Enrolled Nurse (General) in the welfare sector in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than three years after satisfactory completion of that Training Programme.

- Tung Wah College will adjust the tuition fee of its programmes based on the Composite Consumer Price Index to be announced by the Government annually.
- Tuition fees are normally charged by two instalments per annum and are payable before the commencement of each semester. New students are required to settle the balance of the tuition fee for the first semester (i.e. after deducting deposit) upon programme registration in August.
- Students are required to pay additional fees for all retake/additional courses which would be charged at the rate of the normal cohort and be calculated by the number of credits to be taken. Please refer the details in the College’s Fees Regulation at https://www.twc.edu.hk/en/Administration_Units/fo/our_service/student-area.
- Each trainee will obtain full reimbursement of the tuition fees for the first normative 2-year study period of the Programme on the conditions that the students complete that training programme to the satisfaction of the SWD and Tung Wah College; and to be employed as Enrolled Nurse (General) in the welfare sector in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than three years after satisfactory completion of that training programme.

Professional Recognition
The programme is recognised by The Nursing Council in Hong Kong (NCHK) as a pre-enrolment nursing training programme. Graduates are eligible to apply for enrolment as Enrolled Nurses (EN) “登記護士” under the Nurses Registration Ordinance (Cap 164) of Hong Kong.
Career Prospects and Further Studies
- Trainees are required to sign an undertaking to work as Enrolled Nurse (General) in non-governmental or private organisations providing elderly, rehabilitation, family and child care, or correctional services recognized by the SWD for a continuous period of no less than three years after completion of the training.
- Qualified ENs can become case managers if they are employed in the elderly care and rehabilitation services.

What are the differences between Bachelor of Health Science (Hons) in Nursing and Higher Diploma in Nursing at TWC?
The Bachelor of Health Science (Hons) in Nursing has a minimum requirement of DSE result 3322+2, is subsidised under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) and is a 5-year programme with 1480 hours clinical practicum. The Higher Diploma in Nursing has a minimum requirement of DSE results 222+22, is subsidised by the Social Welfare Department, is a 2-year programme with 1600 hours clinical practicum, and includes clinical placements in residential or community settings. Graduates of the Bachelor will obtain RN licensure, whereas graduates of the Higher Diploma will obtain EN licensure.
所有臨床實習期間會有督導嗎？
會有。學生在所有臨床實習中均會接受密切督導。實習期間由學院教職員或具經驗的臨床導師指導，讓學生在真實臨床環境中獲得實務操作技巧，並將理論知識應用於實際場景，確保學生在專業指導下獲得實際見解及專業能力。
我需要像醫院裡的護士一樣輪班工作嗎？
需要。根據香港護士管理局的要求，學生在兩年的訓練期間必須完成不少於 1,600 小時的臨床及社區實習，其中包括至少 100 小時的夜更實習。因此學生需按訓練安排進行輪班，包括早更、午更及夜更。
完成課程後有哪些就業前景？
畢業生可申請香港護士管理局認可的 普通科登記護士 專業資格。
畢業後可於多種機構受聘為普通科登記護士，包括臨床部門、社區服務及院舍護理等。
完成 SWD 護理高級文憑課程後，畢業生需於福利界連續受聘為普通科登記護士不少於三年。

The HD(N) programme is designed to impart professional nursing knowledge and skills needed to deliver healthcare services for clients in both hospitals and residential care/community settings, with opportunities to practise in a variety of settings.
完成課程後，有升學機會嗎？
完成 HD(N) 課程後，學生須先於福利界連續受聘為普通科登記護士不少於三年。在履行承諾後，可考慮報讀本院開辦的 健康科學學士（榮譽）— 護理學（高年級入學） 以取得註冊護士資格（RN）。
