陳耀昇先生畢業於香港中文大學,獲得護理學士學位,及後於澳洲紐卡素大學完成護理應用管理碩士學位,並於英國布里斯托大學完成教育研究與專業研究文憑。
除了擔任醫院管理局專科護士外,他亦曾任香港公開大學高級課程經理,並獲多所大學(包括香港中文大學、香港理工大學及香港公開大學)委任為榮譽臨床護理講師。
