  2. Prepare proposal on space allocation for approval of Campus Development Committee

  3. Implement decisions concluded by Campus Development Committee
     

Alteration & Addition Works (A&A) and Minor Works

  1. Initiate with users in respect to all A&A and minor works, and recommend works to be carried out

  2. Prepare cost estimates and invite quotations

  3. Plan and implement the works contract
     

Health, Safety & Environment Management

  1. Ascertain the whole campus with respect to health, safety & environment according to the latest requirement standards

  2. Propose to Top Management on all improvements and upgrading requirements

  3. Plan, budget and implement the works contract approved
     

Fire Safety Management

  1. Ascertain the whole campus with respect to fire safety according to the latest requirement standards

  2. Propose to Top Management on all improvements and upgrading requirements

  3. Plan, budget and implement the works contract approved
     

Budget and Cost Control

  1. Prepare budget proposals for all above works, and seek Senior Management’s approval and endorsement

  2. Implement cost control constantly and report to Senior Management when and as required

According to the Smoking (Public Health) Ordinance, TWUHK campuses are classified as statutory non-smoking areas.  Smoking or carrying lighted tobacco products (e.g. cigarette, cigar or pipe) on the campus incurs a HK$3,000 penalty.

Energy Saving Management

  1. Provision of occupancy sensors for ON/OFF control of lightings equipment in teaching rooms
  2. Removal of surplus lightings
  3. Partial lift services during building closing hours
  4. Re-scheduling lighting schedule
  5. Replacement of existing 32W with 26W lamp
  6. Switching off some of the lights when there is enough daylight
  7. Issuing control plan to staff on controlling of air-conditioning equipment in library
  8. Installation of window solar film
  9. Installation of curtain
  10. Cleaning regularly all air filters to ensure no clogging with dust;
  11. Checking regularly the thermal insulation to identify any damages and loss of integrity

Q1: I am a student/staff of Tung Wah University of Hong Kong (TWUHK). I wish to make booking reservation for the facilities at TWUHK (e.g. BBQ site, Basketball Court and etc.). Is there any prior booking procedure required? Am I eligible for making facilities booking reservation?

A: Applicant should apply the venue one to fourteen days before in Facilities Management Office. For further information, please refer to https://www.twc.edu.hk/en/Administration_Units/fmo/download_area.
