Integrated Health Centre

The average life expectancy in many countries has risen in recent decades owing to the advance in technology and medicine.  
People are becoming more aware of their health and are making efforts to maintain good health.  Under the care of the School of Nursing, the Integrative Health Centre provides health and nursing care services, conducts teaching and learning, and engages in research activities for Tung Wah College.  The Centre integrates health technology with the mission of providing integrative care for the community.  The Centre aims to enable clients to attain healthy lifestyles so that their daily lives are enjoyable and fruitful through achieving the tenets of harmony and equilibrium of body, mind and soul. 

Scope of Services

The centre is powered by a comprehensive spectrum of healthcare professionals, such as scientific researchers, Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners and physiotherapists.
Currently, it offers the followings the following services (please to the leaflet below for details) and serves as a venue for clinical placement and conducting scientific research across various healthcare disciplines:

  1. General traditional Chinese medicine consultation 
  2. Special traditional Chinese treatments (including acupuncture, auriculotherapy, Tian-Jiu therapy and Tui-na)
  3. Physiotherapy treatment
  4. N95 respirator usage training and N95 fit test / N95 fit testing (To view your fit test result, please click here)
  5. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) Examination

  1. 40% off for the students of Tung Wah University of Hong Kong
  2. 20% off for the following groups of people:
    TWUHK staff, their spouse and dependents;
    TWUHK  alumni;
    Staff and students of schools under TWGHs; and
    Patients aged ≤ 18 and ≥ 65
  3. Elderly ≥ 65 with financial needs are eligible for a special discount if their cases are referred by registered social workers

Free Physiotherapy and Chinese Medicine Outpatient Services for Affected Residents of the Tai Po Fire

Tung Wah University of Hong Kong, upholding the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ mission to “heal the sick and relieve the distressed,” is extending care and support to those affected by the Tai Po fire. Through its Integrative Health Centre, TWUHK is offering free outpatient physiotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine services to affected residents of Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. These services aim to relieve post-disaster pain through physiotherapy and to support holistic recovery through traditional Chinese medicine, helping affected residents recover as soon as possible. Details are as follows:

ServicesProvide up to 10 free sessions of physiotherapy treatment or general traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) consultation
(For TCM, each visit includes 3 to 5 doses of concentrated herbal granules)
