Is TWUHK one of the participating institutions of E-APP (Electronic Advance Application System for Post-secondary Programmes)?

Yes. E-APP (www.eapp.gov.hk) is a one-stop internet-based online application system, developed by the Education Bureau for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination candidates of current year. It provides an alternative application channel for the HKDSE Examination candidates, to lodge advance applications for locally-accredited sub-degree and bachelor’s degree programmes not covered by the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS), before announcement of public examination results.

TWUHK will obtain your application through E-APP for further processing. The assessment of applications is at the full discretion of individual institutions. E-APP does not charge any fees.

Why is the application status not updated on E-APP?

The application status and related information would be updated in the TWUHK Admission System upon transfer of application data from E-APP.

Interview Arrangement and Notification of Admission Results

When will I be invited to an interview?
  • Not all applicants will need to attend interviews. Schools may make admission offers by assessment of the following documents submitted by the applicants:
    • Academic results (e.g. secondary school reports, public examination results and academic transcripts)
    • Personal statement
  • Shortlisted applicants will be notified about their interview schedule by email.
When will I be notified of the admission result?

Under normal circumstances, applicants will be notified of the admission result after submitting a completed application. You may consider your application unsuccessful if you have not recieved an admission result by mid-September.

What is the difference between Offer, Waiting List and Reject and what to notice?

Applicants may receive more than ONE programme offer but they could only accept one.

If you receive a letter stating that you have been put on the waiting list, you will be admitted based on the available quota. You may consider your application unsucessful if you do not receive an admission result by mid-September.

If you receive a letter stating that you have been rejected by the programme(s) that you have applied, you will not be considered for admission for that programme again. Applicants may apply for other programmes.

May I submit another application and attend an interview for the same programme again if I am not satisfied with my performance in the concerned interview?

Each applicant is allowed to submit an application online ONCE only in each round of admission exercise. If the application(s) for programme(s) is/are rejected, it/they would not be processed again.

Acceptance of Offer

How do I accept a conditional/ direct offer?

Applicants are required to accept the offer in the admission system by a specified deadline stated in the offer letter, and settle the deposit using the payment methods provided in the system on or before the stipulated deadline.

What should I do if I wish to accept an offer received from another programme subsequent to my acceptance of offer at an earlier stage before programme registration?

Applicants may accept another offer if they receive an admission offer from another programme at a later stage. However, the change of offer will be irreversible.
