The Quality Assurance Office (QAO) serves as TWUHK’s dedicated unit for internal quality assurance, overseeing the formulation, implementation, and review of QA policies, procedures, and systems at both institutional and programme levels.
QAO collaborates closely with academic and administration units, as well as external partners, to maintain academic and professional standards and drive continuous enhancement across all programmes. It focuses on assuring learning programme quality, refining the University’s internal QA framework, and fostering a culture of quality throughout TWUHK.
The Quality Assurance Manual (QAM) details the principles, policies, mechanisms, processes, and procedures that underpin TWUHK’s QA and academic standards. Developed and maintained by QAO, the QAM promotes transparency, uniformity in operations, and active staff and student participation in quality assurance and improvement. The QAM is accessible to all staff via the TWUHK Staff Portal, while a public version is available on the University website. Stakeholder engagement remains essential to its effective implementation.
