Ms. Linda Yuklin CHAN is a Clinical Associate from School of Nursing at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong. She graduated from the School of Nursing at Queen Mary Hospital in 1987 and began her nursing career in a surgical unit before moving into intensive care. After completing midwifery training at the School of Midwives in 1992, she continued working in the Intensive Care Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, further strengthening her expertise in caring for critically ill patients.
Ms. CHAN later completed a Post-Registration Certificate Course in Cardiothoracic Nursing at Grantham Hospital. Following this specialist training, she contributed to service development by training junior nurses in the care of patients undergoing open-heart surgery—supporting a then-new service within the Cardiac Care Unit.
In 1995, she was promoted to Nursing Officer in the Intensive Care Units at Ruttonjee Hospital and Tang Shiu Kin Hospital, where she initiated and delivered training programmes for junior and newly appointed staff. In 1999, she transferred to an acute medical ward specialising in stroke and cardiac care, and in 2008 she became Ward Manager. In this role, she oversaw nursing care standards, coordinated manpower planning, and managed day-to-day ward operations.
After retiring in 2023, Ms. CHAN returned to service as an Advanced Practice Nurse, enabling her to maintain and update bedside clinical skills. She remains committed to sharing professional knowledge and values with students, supporting their development as competent and compassionate nurses, and contributing to the ongoing advancement of the nursing profession for the benefit of patients.
