The General Education Team at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong coordinates a wide range of academic initiatives to support students’ holistic development. These include the planning, review, and enhancement of General Education courses across four knowledge areas, the provision of online learning platforms for national and values education, and diverse experiential learning activities at course level. Collectively, these initiatives foster whole‑person development and equip students with essential competencies for lifelong learning and success in the twenty‑first century.

List of GE Course

General Education courses at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong are designed to broaden students’ intellectual horizons and promote whole‑person development. Structured across four knowledge areas, the courses foster self‑understanding, ethical reflection, cultural appreciation, scientific literacy, and technological awareness through interdisciplinary and experiential learning approaches.

National Security Education

Tung Wah University of Hong Kong is committed to strengthening students’ national identity and awareness of the importance of abiding by the law. Since the 2022/23 academic year, all students are required to complete designated online learning packs on National Security Education or National and Values Education, depending on their year of admission. Students may also select General Education electives that incorporate elements of National Security Education.
