(29 June 2011 - Hong Kong) Tung Wah College (TWC) and its programme have been accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications. . The College has been successfully registered as an approved post-secondary college under the "Post Secondary College Ordinance" (Cap 320). Set up by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, TWC is self-financing and will offer the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) programme in September 2011 – its first four-year bachelor degree programme.
TWC will organize three Consultation Days on campus at 31 Wylie Road, Ho Man Tin starting from 30 June. The academic staff of the BBA programme will answer questions from students on-site and provide programme information. Students may submit their applications on-site or on-line at www.twc.edu.hk/admission.
TWC will announce the first round of admission results on 15 July and the second round on 28 July. Students with acceptance notifications will have to pay the first payment of tuition fees within two weeks. The intake for the first year BBA degree programme is set at 200, while the intake for associate degree graduates to enter Year 3 is set at 55. Current and non-current Advanced Level examination candidates, year one and graduates of associate degree programmes are all welcome to apply. The submission deadline is 19 August.
To encourage the outstanding students to apply, TWC sets up 20 entrance scholarships, and provides bursaries to help students with financial difficulties. Students can also apply other grants and loans through Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) of the government.
