To further promote research development within the local self-financing degree sector, the Research Grants Council (RGC) held the "Workshop and Poster Session on the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing (SF) Degree Sector" on 24 November 2025. Tung Wah College (TWC) was honoured to participate, with professors showcasing research outcomes and sharing grant application experiences, highlighting the College's commitment to research excellence and innovation.

RGC Chairman Professor Timothy W. Tong delivered the opening address. Following this, Assessment Panel Chairman Professor Julie Li provided a detailed explanation of the assessment process, giving scholars valuable insights into the review criteria of the funding schemes.

The event was a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, beginning with an insightful Poster Session. We were honored to have Professor Rick Kwan, Associate Dean (Programmes) from the School of Nursing, and Professor Ellie Chu from the School of Medical and Health Sciences represented Tung Wah College, showcasing the impactful Faculty Development Scheme research outputs for the Humanities and Social Sciences (H-panel) and Biology and Medicine (M-panel) respectively. Their work exemplified the high-quality research emerging from our college.
