Dr. Jacky Wong is the Associate Professor in Radiation Therapy at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong. He is also the programme leader of the Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy. After earning his bachelor’s degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and qualifying as a radiotherapy professional in 1999, he began his career as a radiation therapist in Australia, gaining extensive experience over a decade.
In 2009, he returned to Hong Kong and joined the Hong Kong Sanatorium Hospital, becoming a certified Medical Dosimetrist in 2010 and awarded a fellowship by the Hong Kong College of Radiographers and Radiation Therapists (HKCRRT) in 2012. From 2015 to 2019, he was seconded as a full-time Senior Lecturer to support radiation therapy education at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong (Former named: Tung Wah College).
Currently, he serves as Faculty Director of Medical Dosimetry and Vice President (Professional Practice) for HKCRRT, aiming to advance the field through education, research, and professional practice. As a vibrant academic, he has presented at numerous local and international conferences and published in respected journals, demonstrating dedication to patient care and standards in radiation therapy. His main research interest is the application of machine learning in radiation therapy for precision medicine.
