Part I Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist
Dr. Lam is an Assistant Professor of Teaching at the Tung Wah University of Hong Kong . After obtaining his bachelor's and doctoral degrees from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The University of Hong Kong respectively, he pursued academic research in the Department of Microbiology at The University of Hong Kong, focusing on Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
He also gained clinical experience in public hospital settings by participating in diagnostic microbiology testing and registered as Medical Laboratory Technologist (Part I). Building on this dual foundation of research and clinical practice, he transitioned to an academic career in Medical Laboratory Science at the Tung Wah University of Hong Kong.
As the Programme Leader of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Laboratory Science, he oversees the programme’s curriculum development, nurtures students who aspire to become Medical Laboratory Technologists as a future career, and continues to secure the pipeline of supplying qualified medical laboratory technologists to the Allied Health Professions in Hong Kong.
