Louisa is a registered Occupational Therapist in Hong Kong and obtained Assistive Technology Professional registration (ATP, RESNA) in 2010. Before joining Tung Wah University of Hong Kong (Former Named: Tung Wah College) in December 2022, she has been working in the paediatric field for over 25 years.
Louisa has extensive experience in reading-related oculomotor assessment and training, assistive technology/enabling technology (including augmentative and alternative communication, AAC), human-computer interaction (HCI), Bobath NDT therapy, Bowen Therapy, home modifications and barrier-free access, special examination arrangements for students with physical disabilities, sensory modulation, work-related habilitation for people with congenital multiple challenges, end-of-life care for children with terminal illness, tele-rehabilitation for children with special needs in Hong Kong and China during the pandemic years, and action research for evidence-based practice in special schools.
She has taught many train-the-trainer programmes related to occupational therapy services in Hong Kong, Uganda, and Mainland China. She obtained a Master of Science in Health Care (Rehabilitation of People with Developmental Disabilities) in 2005 and a Doctor of Health Sciences in 2019.
