Biography

Ms. Wu is the Senior Clinical Associate in Physiotherapy at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in physiotherapy practice, education, and research, beginning her career after completing a Professional Diploma in Physiotherapy at Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1992. She later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare (Rehabilitation Technology) in 2000, an MSc in Clinical Gerontology in 2002, and an MSc in Stroke and Clinical Neuroscience in 2010 from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has advanced training in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, acupuncture and moxibustion, the Bobath Concept, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). 

Her clinical career includes service at major Hong Kong hospitals. Since 2020, she has focused on academic teaching and research, leading projects on robotic hand rehabilitation for stroke survivors, wearable exoskeletons for gait training in chronic stroke patients, exercise programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and innovative physiotherapy education approaches. She serves as an examiner for the Hong Kong Physiotherapist Board, a committee member of the Geriatrics Specialty Group of the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association, and a neurological physiotherapist under the Association. Her teaching excellence was recognized with the Teaching Excellence Award (2022–2023) at Tung Wah College.
