Biography

Dr Cathy Hung obtained her PhD and completed the post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Hong Kong. She is a registered kindergarten teacher qualifying in Hong Kong and Australia. Her research broadly focused on individual factors to learning, reading and language comprehension development among young learners, their family influences, and infant-toddlers' educare.  

Dr Hung has led several major research and community-based projects, such as developing and implementing an integrated model to enhance the quality of childcare services for 0-3 years old, building quality standards and framework in ECE, supporting non‐Chinese speaking kindergarten students to learn Chinese as a second language, and examining reading and language comprehension development in Chinese.
