Biography

Dr. Katherine Yau is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong. She has over ten years of experience teaching nursing programmes. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in hospitals and has accumulated 17 years of specialised clinical experience in neurosurgical and cardiovascular nursing. 

She is recognised as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Education and Research in Nursing. Her research explores complementary and alternative interventions—particularly forest therapy—for improving cardiovascular and mental health outcomes in adults. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and actively contributes to advancing holistic approaches in nursing practice.
