Biography

Sam received his bachelor’s degree in Applied Biology with Biotechnology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and continued his PhD studies in the field of molecular virology at the University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on the Epstein-Barr virus in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, virus and innate immunity, and CRISPR/Cas-mediated genome editing. Sam joined Tung Wah College as a senior lecturer in the School of Medical and Health Sciences in 2020 and was promoted to assistant professor in the School of Nursing in 2022. He is responsible for teaching foundation science subjects for nursing students.
