The programme aims to prepare students with solid scientific knowledge and technical expertise. It also provides a strong foundation for those intending to pursue postgraduate studies in the biomedical field.
Programme Description

Our programme strengthens students’ professional skills and work readiness through experiential learning and sustained collaboration with industry partners. It integrates rigorous theoretical foundations with advanced practical skills in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and health sciences. By balancing conceptual understanding with technical mastery, the programme cultivates graduates who are equipped with sharp analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities essential for success in today’s dynamic scientific landscape. Through laboratory-based projects, industry attachments, and research workshops, students refine their technical proficiency, critical thinking, and professional competence in real-world settings.

Programme Objectives
  • To provide students with an understanding of the concepts of biomedical science;
  • To develop students’ keen interest in science through critical, creative and problem-solving skills and provide insights into biological science areas;
  • To produce graduates that are well equipped with the knowledge to pursue further postgraduate qualifications and/or careers in biomedical and health science-related fields; and
  • To enhance students’ communication and interpersonal skills (general and professional), understanding and appreciation of other cultures and environments.
