This study examined the effectiveness of an urban FB programme over 4 consecutive weekends , assessing its impact on participants' blood pressure afterwards. The participants were middle-aged Chinese adults with hypertension in Hong Kong.

Results of the research showed that the urban FB programme significantly reduced systolic blood pressure (SBP) for the participants with hypertension. The reductions in blood pressure continued 8 weeks after the programme ended. FB also improved relaxation and mental well-being, making it a useful non-drug option for managing high blood pressure."
