Dr Alice Chan is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong, where she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Previously, she served as the Deputy and Programme Leader of the Higher Diploma in Nursing from 2021 to 2024, showcasing her strong leadership skills and commitment to academic excellence.
She has over 20 years of teaching experience as an academic in tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. Currently, she imparts her knowledge by teaching American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider courses for medical professionals within the community. Her expertise has led to her being sought after as a guest speaker by various institutes, hospitals and NGOs in both local and Mainland China contexts.
She served as an emergency nurse in multiple Accident & Emergency Departments within the Hospital Authority for more than 15 years. Additionally, she held the roles of Air Medical Nursing Officer in HKSAR Government Flying Service and Ambulance Officer (Nursing) at the Hong Kong St John Ambulance Association.
Prior to her tenure at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong, Dr Chan held the pivotal role of Division Lead in the Outpatient Department at Matilda International Hospital. Her exceptional teaching evaluations and the glowing feedback received from students and patients alike serve as testaments to her effectiveness as an educator and a compassionate healthcare professional.
