Mr. Eward Wai Ching SHUM is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong. He is a qualified electroencephalograph (EEG) nurse technician and has extensive experience in neurodiagnostic and stroke services.
Mr. SHUM worked in the Electrodiagnostic Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital from 1990. From 2012 to 2022, he served as a Nurse Consultant (Stroke) in the New Territories East Cluster, where he contributed to specialist stroke care and service development, before retiring from that post.
Mr. SHUM has been a Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner since 2004. In addition to teaching, he currently provides Chinese medicine consultations and transcranial Doppler ultrasound services at the Integrated Health Centre of Tung Wah University of Hong Kong.
He also serves the profession and the community as an Honorary Adviser to the Hong Kong Rehabilitation Society, an Adjunct Teacher at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a nurse planner for various tertiary institutes and professional bodies in Hong Kong.
