Teaching Excellence Award (TEA)

The Teaching Excellence Award (TEA) recognises outstanding teaching performance each academic year, with up to five individual awards presented. The Award promotes effective, student‑centred, and innovative teaching practices. Nominees are assessed on evidence demonstrating how appropriate and innovative teaching and assessment strategies enhance student engagement, support the achievement of intended learning outcomes, and inspire further learning. Evidence is presented through teaching portfolios, curriculum and course design, assessment practices, student feedback, and reflective professional practice.

College Teaching Grant (CTG)

The University Teaching Grant (UTG) supports teaching and learning development initiatives at Tung Wah University of Hong Kong, with particular emphasis on innovative projects that enhance teaching quality and the student learning experience. The Grant promotes outcome‑based, learning‑centred, and technology‑enhanced pedagogies, and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration. Funding is awarded on a competitive basis to eligible academic staff for time‑limited projects that demonstrate clear, sustainable, and institution‑wide benefits to teaching and learning at the University.
