(13 December 2012 - Hong Kong) Tung Wah College has officially been appointed by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong (NCHK) as a gazetted nursing school for registered nurse training. Graduates of its Bachelor of Health Science (Hons) programme will be eligible to register as Registered Nurse with NCHK. The College has launched the "Conditional Offer Scheme" in November which attracted more than 1,300 applications within a month. Interviews will be arranged for applicants and conditional offers will be granted to students subject to their academic results and interview performance. Students with conditional offers will be guaranteed a school place if they have satisfied the College’s minimum entrance requirements.
Due to the overwhelming response, the first round of application for the Higher Diploma in Nursing programme has been closed. Online application for other programmes is now open at www.twc.edu.hk/admission. Applicants may select up to five programme choices according to their preferences.
Meanwhile, the recently-accredited Bachelor of Medical Science (Hons) programme will commence in January 2013. Students with HKDSE, HKALE, IB or equivalent qualifications are welcome to apply for this programme online at www.twc.edu.hk/bmsadmission (limited places available).
