Launching of TWC Business Laboratory Nurtures Practical Business Talents (4 October 2011 - Hong Kong) The Business Laboratory (Biz Lab) of Tung Wah College (TWC) was officially launched today. Located on the 14th floor of the campus, the Biz Lab integrates the business theories with the latest business technology solutions.

Launching of TWC Business Laboratory Nurtures Practical Business TalentsThe total investment amount of the Biz Lab is around HK $3 million dollars. Equipped with advanced ICT facilities, such as Computer-assisted Telephone Interviewing System (CATI), Document Management System (DMS) and notebook computers, the Lab enable students to gain practical hands-on skills under various business scenarios which will better prepare our students before starting their professional careers. To increase students’ confidence during interviews and presentations, the Lab is fitted with recording cameras so that students can have the opportunity to improve their eye contacts, voice levels, and gestures during individual presentations.

Professor Thomas Wong, President of TWC said, "The Biz Lab is a successful example of co-operative education with our business partners, with aims to provide chances for students to practice what they have learnt from textbooks. Since the Lab is designed for interactive learning, its use will be beneficial to students’ future career paths."

Dr Kokin Lam, the officer-in-charge of the Biz Lab, believed that with the most advanced combination of hardware and software applications, students will be able to bridge the textbook knowledge with the rapid-changing commercial market and develop appropriate and effective business solutions.
