Joint event with The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council
The School of Management partnered with The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council to host the "Creating an Inclusive Future with Coffee: 'Coffee To Be' Brand Launch Cum Social Return on Investment Symposium" on 25 October 2025. Prof. Albert Teo presented a research report titled "Social Impact Assessment of Three Coffee Industry-Related Interventions Run by The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council," highlighting positive interventions that create training and employment opportunities for vulnerable groups, such as youth and individuals with disabilities, aiding their social integration. The event attracted over 120 participants, demonstrating the School's commitment to fostering social inclusion and community care.
Short Course on Social Purpose-Driven Business Model Canvas
The School of Management hosted an engaging short course on 27 August 2025, titled “Developing Financially Viable Business Model for Creating Social Impact: A Hands-On One-Day Workshop.” Led by Professor Wong Poh Kam, it focused on applying the social purpose-driven business model canvas to integrate social impacts with profitability. Fifteen participants explored Asian case studies, gaining tools for sustainable, impact-driven business models that foster social change.
Digital Transformation in Health Care – Building leadership Capacity
A seminar was delivered by Dr. Zhanming Liang, Associate Dean, College of Business, Law and Governance of James Cook University, Australia on 9 July 2025 at the Digital Health Lab of Tsim Sha Tsui Campus, Tung Wah College by hybrid mode.
To enhance students' global perspective and deepen their understanding of healthcare systems across different countries, 13 students from the Health Information and Services Management and Nursing programmes participated in an Australian study tour organised by the School of Management in May 2024.
